Simpsons Situation on Sucking in Season 12
Rant by Jon.

As the seasons roll by I get less and less excited every Sunday when 8:00 PM comes along. I'm talking about the Simpsons. Those crappy, sappy, absotivily unwatchable-y new Simpsons episodes. From Season 10 and above I feel as if the writers are letting their 2 year old kids write the new episodes on napkins while they're on the toilet. One reason is that they don't makes sense; Homer's crayon, for example. Dr. Hibbert has shown X-rays of Homer's head TO THE WHOLE FAMILY hundreds of times with no crayon. And also, (and the biggest reason) Homer IS NOT DUMB BECAUSE OF A CRAYON. IT IS THE SIMPSONS GENE. Also they're becoming repetative; Homer's already tried his luck at internet stuff. Homer has already lost weight. It's just in a slightly different form. Another thing is that the characters are way out of character! Homer is a whiney, stuck up brat and Bart acts like he's 15. Lisa is still smart, but in the know-it-all way and not in the slightly modest way that she used to be. Marge, Maggie and Grandpa could be killed off for no reason and no one would notice. Also it takes too long for the main plot to occur; just last week it took 15 minutes until Homer (dumbly) went on a hunger strike. Remember when Bart got death threats at the start of the episode which was utterly hilarious and it only took about half a minute for the real plot to begin? I do. Not only does it take too long to start but the way it starts is dumb, and not in the "ha ha" way, and often make no sense. My biggest example is when Homer was shopping for a coffin, and suddenly built a tennis court. Homer went on a hunger strike after sticking up for a few people's situations. Homer-- ah, yes, Homer. Probably the most overused character in any TV show EVER. I believe 86 percent of season 12 Homer is on the screen. What creativity. And brings me back to how screwed up his character is, making the writers just blind to what's good and what's awful. Not only everything above but some episodes just trudge on for what seems like hours; like the writer's can't fill 21 minutes-worth of plot. One example is "Pokey Mom", that seemed to have no plot at all. "New Kids on the Blecch" just trudged on until Lisa found out about the UTTERLY DUMB navy-hypnotizm thing. And that just showed three things; plot trudging on, stupid way to enter into a plot, and too long to go into a plot. All in all the Simpsons have just gone rock bottom with no way up, and for the love of mustard I'm hoping Season 12 in the last one.

Back to rants.
