Part 2: "Fire fiend is fiery"

He certainly is. But more importantly, you came here for a review, and no review is complete without the irrational hate of a reviewer whose childhood was spent trying to play several RPG's in a foreign language she didn't understand. That would be me.
So I subconsciously fuel all of my anger into these game reviews.... grrr... hate.... *mumble mumble*...

Were was I?... Oh yeah. To achieve the foreign-confusing-language effect, just play ANY japanese RPG on a Snes emulator (note: Vivi does not condone the use of snes emulators.). But enough about my boring childhood, and back to the game. here are the individual reviews:

I rather like this game. After all, this is one of the predecessors to the game that brought us Sephiroth. Without this game, there would be no Sephiroth. And that would be bad, to say the least. Other than that, I really like the way they misuse english ("engrish") in this game. It actually makes my english look tolerable. FF1 also has a rather good fighting engine, at least for the early '90s. The coolest thing has to be the psychedelic color flash everytime you enter a building, tho.

Ohayo, again! This is Pocky again! Excuse bad critic! Pocky confused by king doing void for Hime, Pocky do not understand ways of gaijin. Anyway! Game not much bad, color coordinated towns good spark of mind. Language in game is good to understand, hai. Excuse now, must make swift retreat! Yatta!

Isn't she cute? ^.^ *heart*

In case anybody still cares about me, I did not like this game at all. It did not carry along the spirit of friendship. Also, the black wizard was obviously modelled after me. They didn't even pay me :(. Maybe they'll notice me if I sue them for all they are worth! I'll never have to work with that sadistic red-haired girl again! Yes!!

Ah! Be quiet, you silly little thing! I can say, I loved this game! It even rivaled "Barbie Super Model". Isn't the little red Wizard just darling? And that name... GARLAND! He was obviously named after my role-model! SQUEEE!!! *continues to talk about how great the game was*

Okay... now that we all have voiced our opinions about the game, here is the overall rating:

(out of 5)

Graphics: **** (for a nes game) - I wanted to give it 3 stars, but Pink Man started crying and told me how much he loved the game. So I gave it 4 stars, just to make him happy.

Fun: **** 1/2 - You just gotta love the way the people in this game are talking :).

Originality: ** 1/2 - I didn't play it much, but the whole save-the-princess-act didn't make me want to, either. (NOTE: after you have saved the princess, you do something completely new... you save... a PRINCE!!! WOOOHOO!!)

If you like traditional RPG's, you'll probably love this game. It will at least provide you with some hours of entertainment, even if you just want to make fun of the way the Red Wizard looks.

This concludes my first game review (for this site). I hope you don't feel overly agressive after reading this. Take care, and good night. This is Vivian Ironsand, signing off!
