Final Fantasy Classes

Best viewed with expanded window

In the first Final Fantasy there were 6 classes, each was able to be upgraded with the help of Bahamut and a rat tail, each was useful in some way or another. But you are only allowed to pick 4 out of the 6 classes available, so choose wisely. Please note that mages can learn spells at any stage, but can only get mana points for levels above 4 after upgrading

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fighter:

The fighter, you should always have atleast one of these. They are for most the strongest character, high defence, etc., however they are the most exspensive class to buy equipment for. They are slow, however, if you hadn't guessed. The game can be most easily beaten with three of these guys and a white mage. They have the best weapon and armor selection in the game.

Knight:

The knight is the upgraded version of the fighter, they are basicaly the same but with higher stats, and are able to use white magic up to level 4. Awsome indeed. No longer the fearless midget they have even more weapon and armor selection at this stage.

Theif:

Dispite the lack of any theifing abilites or commands these are quite useful if you need to retreat, they have great weapon selection, their armor selection isn't as good as the fighter though. They are fast, and they got a neat blue hairdo.

Ninja:

If the blue hairdo didn't give the theif enough coolness, once upgraded they get a neon orange ninja outfit! Along with the ability to learn black magic spells up to level four their stats go higher. C'mon you know you want one.

White Mage:

The white mage is basicaly a cleric, it can learn any white spells up to level 4, however they also have the worst weapon and armor selection in the entire game, But they are good healers of course. They are very frail however.

White Wizard:

The upgraded white mage becomes the white wizard, it now has the ability to learn any white magic in the whole game, slightly better at spell casting now, but the weapon and armor selection dosen't improve at all.

Black Mage:

Here we have the black mage, of course, as you might of guessed, they are able to cast black spells, have slightly better weapon and armor selection then the white mage, and can learn any black spells up to level 4.

Black Wizard:

The black wizard, upgraded form of the black mage now has the ability to learn all black spells. Not to mention stupid hat hair as their crown. Be afraid.

Red Mage:

Here's an off beat character, They have average Weapon and armor selection and the ability to learn both white and black magic up to level four. They also have a really stupid hat that makes them look like dorks on the overworld veiw in you put them in the lead.

Red Wizard:

Upgraded the Red mage can learn any spells up to level 7, this however means they cannot learn the ultimate black and white spells. The character itself mainly changes by growing some long white hair. This is what happens when mages play with elactricity.

Black Belt:

Early in the game these characters are quite useless, all the weapons and armor they can equip are down right useless, they do much more damage without weapons. Anyways, once they reach level ten they then prove their worth. Since they have such a lack of weapon and armor selection they are very cheap to buy for. And look like they came straight out of a bad karate movie. Keep in mind that The black belts strength and defence are always twice the number of their level.

Master:

These characters may be called masters, however they don't exactly rule over anything... Anyways, they are just stronger then the black belts. The Master's strength and defence are always twice the number of their level as well.
